A broken zipper at dinnertime.
Gregory has been fitting and fixing clothes since 1978, and customers still write about the nights he stayed late. Sherman Wu needed suit pants finished and got them done past closing time.
“Gregory was kind enough to answer my call after hours and agree to fix the broken zipper and hole in my dress [Sasha by Nana Jacqueline] the next day. I had an appointment at a salon where he went out of his way to pick up the dress, then dropped it off at my apartment in less than 5 hours, which allowed me enough time to get ready for dinner. The dress was fully lined- he replaced the invisible zipper, fixed the holes in the lining and shell; it was wonderful work!”

Questions people ask at the counter.
No appointment is needed for most alterations. Walk-ins are welcome, and it helps to call (617) 482-1111 first. Pickups and drop-offs are arranged by appointment.
Gregory offers same-day and next-day tailoring for most of his services. Bring the garment in the morning and it can usually be ready by the end of the day. Custom pieces and bridal work take more than one fitting.

Yes. Gregory takes orders for custom bridal, entourage and formal event dresses, and alters and repairs them: hems, take-ins, zippers and linings. Book dress work early so there is time for a second fitting.
