Same-day and next-day tailoring alterations for most of our tailoring services, bring us your garments in the morning so you can have them back by the end of the day, or sooner.

What qualifies as same-day
Gregory offers same-day and next-day tailoring alterations for most of our tailoring services, in his own words, and that covers a lot of ground: a pair of trousers or jeans hemmed, a simple take-in or let-out, a sleeve shortened, a zipper or button repaired. Bring us your garments in the morning so you can have them back by the end of the day, or sooner, as he puts it.
This is the everyday, fast-turn end of the shop's work, run out of the same Waltham workroom where every other job gets fitted and pressed. It isn't a separate service so much as a promise on speed for the kinds of jobs that don't need multiple fittings to get right.

How to make it work
Bring the garment in as early in the day as you can, that's what leaves the most room to fit the work in and still have it ready by closing. Calling (617) 482-1111 first, to describe the job and check the day is realistic for it, makes the difference between a same-day turn and a next-day one.
One customer wrote that he urgently needed a pair of suit pants altered, and even though he arrived past closing time, Gregory still finished the modification quickly, and, as the customer put it, “the quality was superb.” Walking in with a genuine same-day need is exactly what this workroom is set up to handle.
Chapter 03
What same-day doesn't cover
Custom garments and complex bridal work fall outside same-day turnaround. A custom suit needs measurements, cloth choice and a basted fitting worked in stages, and a bridal gown usually needs more than one fitting of its own, so those jobs are planned out and booked ahead rather than rushed through in a single day.
Pickup and drop-off are available by appointment for clients who can't get to Waltham during the day. Call ahead at (617) 482-1111 to set that up alongside whatever alteration you need done.
